Having an RV park right in the middle of a city like San Francisco makes things very, very convenient. We were able to park and hook up the RV right next to the parking lot of Candlestick Park (stadium of the San Francisco 49ers).
We have loved San Francisco ever since we explored it by moped on our honeymoon. This time we explored by boat and foot. A nightime tour of Alcatraz was eerie but fascinating. Our daytime tour of The Haight lead to conversations about hippies. We got into the spirit with a little piercing and ate at a place called "The Pork Store" which is known for, among other things, great vegan fare.
Our trip to Muir Woods marked the end of Lisa and Clara's stay with us. It was sad to say goodbye.
